About Us
A Hero's Home has partnered with Operation Homefront and REI Nation to provide newly renovated homes to military families in need.
A Hero’s Home was founded in 2018 by real estate investor executives Chris Clothier with REI Nation, Jay Hinrichs with JLH Capital Partners, Brian Burke with Praxis Capital, Brandon Hall with Hall CPA and Tom Gimer with Masters Title & Escrow. Their simple mission: to give back by providing military families with a home of their own, free of charge.
After raising funds from donors across the U.S., A Hero’s Home partnered with REI Nation to select and renovate a single-family home in Memphis, Tennessee. The organization also identified Operation Homefront as the partner to promote the home’s availability to military families through their national outreach efforts. A family will be selected and announced in the fall of 2022.
Since 2012, more than 650 military families have graduated from Operation Homefront’s Permanent Homes for Veterans (PHV) program, providing more than $99 million in home equity, in addition to other programs supporting both veteran and active duty military families. The PHV program provides veterans with the opportunity to move into a home and work directly with caseworkers and other financial counselors to learn and plan for home ownership. After successful completion of the program, the veteran receives the deed to the home, mortgage-free. At Operation Homefront, 88% of expenditures go directly toward delivering programs and services to the military families who need it most.

Our Process
Acquiring the Perfect Property
A Hero’s Home sets regular financial goals in order to purchase homes in cities across the U.S. When the financial goal is met, a property is purchased through partner company REI Nation.
Processing Veteran Applications
After a property is selected and purchased, any needed renovations are completed. Post-inspection, the home is deeded to and listed through Operation Homefront, which then begins the veteran outreach process.

Celebrating with a Key Ceremony
Through Operation Homefront, a veteran who has completed the Permanent Homes for Veterans program is welcomed to their residence. This is a special opportunity to introduce a military family to their new home and the beautiful city in which it’s located. Our first home is located in Memphis, Tennessee, and is scheduled to be given to a military family in the fall of 2022.
